Even if he's compelled to do so, our Idiot King has refused. Isn't our Idiot King our employee? Isn't even the office of the "president" obligated to the rule of law?

The issue isn't exactly the dismissal of the prosecutors, who serve "at the pleasure of the president." The issue is that the firings were politically motivated, therefore unethical (justice must be non-partisan), and that those dismissed were told they were for "performance-related" issues. Further, there appears to be a cover-up involved, indicating that responsible parties *knew* their actions were unethical and possibly illegal. Now, they're stonewalling an investigation.

TE people should testify because Alberto Gonzalez himself said that they weren't completely honest with Congress, that all the information wasn't disclosed. No one said that a crime had been committed. Why are these people so worried about that? Have then in fact committed a crime and don't want to get caught with it?
If the answer to those questions is no, then I see no reason why they would not present their case under oath where the truth is forced with the penalty being perjury.
Side stepping the issue, name calling and whatever else these people like to do does nothing but make them look more and more guilty of the crime that no one said the committed.
People like you TE need to look at the situation from the outside and stop letting the neo-con think tank do your thinking for you.
These people have proven time and time again that they can lie to the American people and not blink or flinch while doing it.
What I don't understand is how people can continue trusting this group of lieing idiots.

Everyone here is talking as if a crime has been committed. Please explain what crime. Why should anyone testify? The only thing that has been done is lawyers, who serve at the pleasure of the President, have been let go. Only 8 compared to 92 for Clinton.
EDIT***There is no proof that their removal was politically motivated so there is no justification for anyone to testify.
Trevor...everyone is protected by their rights, not just Democrats. If they did nothing wrong, then why testify. Take your mind out of the liberal world for just a second and think. If this happened to you, you would be singing another tune. You know, as well as I do, if the Dems get the people they want to testify, they can manipulate the situation any way they want. Just because you don't agree with me doesn't mean you need to attack me personally.

Because of John Dean.
Once the issue of Executive Privilege is settled as usual by the Supreme Court the Bush league will have to testify. Remember what happened to Nixon's black ops guys?
One of the current crop will roll over. Who will it be?

Why do you love terrists? Why do you hate America?
Oh yeah: but, but, but Clinton!

We certainly don't have government of the people, by the people or for the people, do we? That's why and how our chief exec is able to toss the rule of law.
