When you abuse someone by what you have written, be it sexism, racism, homophobia, anything which would get you into trouble in real life if you said it to their face, basically.

Ni there Alien pyxie, Basically, a violation would seem to be fair when something causes offence. I myself have posted a joke which I thought was humourous, but alas someone was offended. I was very surprised at this. No matter how we word things, it seems that there will always be someone who does not approve. I think that it is a case of: You cant please everyone all of the time. The majority of violations seem unfair, particularly to the person who has received them. Unfortunately there isn't anything that we can do about it. Maybe it would be an idea to have the opportunity to appeal against the violation, and at least have a chance to explain why we think that it is acceptable. Such is life eh mate?

On this site, there are fair violations when the poster has violated the rules. Unfortunately, it is an automated reporting system so if you get flagged for a violation, your question or answer gets deleted automatically. No lawyer, judge or jury can help in this kangaroo system. You can have a perfectly posted Q/A and it doesn't matter if you are flagged. It is automatically removed. I hate that too.

When an answer or question is abusive or offensive .. Or if their avatar is offensive !

I know children use this site too and granted i may have put a couple of rude jokes on and i took the violations on the chin ! I know they might have been deserved although the wern't that bad ...

What i dissagree with is if you make a personal comment you get a violation for personal chat (?) Well what's really wrong in that i ask . Aslong as that chat is NOT offensive or abusive where is the wrong in it (?)

.I also think .they should revise the abuse system as with everything else gradually increase as you get to higher levels ... .. . AND Stop ALL the fake reporters !! ! PLEASE !! !

When there is malice or filth involved. racism, prejudice, pornographic content

I got a VN for this the other day. I am still trying to figure out what was wrong:

Deleted Answer: My friend a well thought out but somewhat confusing entry. For once I am crying out, It is too early in the morning to think so deeply!

I got one for this one..but it was SO WORTH IT! It was totally satisfying to finally Diss someone!

Question Details: Nice trolling doofus. Although it takes a special brand of idiocy to insult three main groups at once! Impressive, dood. I would ask you how old you are, but I doubt you can count that high. "Shoes her toe nail?" Do you speak English? I hear someone took a photo of you once, but it didn't turn out. You were too transparent. Is it true you lose IQ points every time you go to the bathroom? Not only to you err regarding the religion of Mr. Obama, but you don't know your Constitution. Nor do you know Islam. Your beating reference makes me wonder just what trailer park you live in. Do you go to family reunions when you are looking for a new girlfriend? Calling folks like you an idiot is an insult to stupid people so I won't say another word. You really are living proof that dumbing down a nation works! Well done! I am sure Bush (IQ 91) would be proud of you! Source(s): What is really amazing is how many people who are truly ignorant of things crawl out from under their rocks to agree with your idiocy.

10 points well spent!

But I just can't understand why they haven't already pulled those sick question since Early wed. morning?
Now they are disturbing Q's- About the rape of the 9 year old school girl. JUST SICKENING!

I was violated last night and it didn't do much for me. I would say it was fair, but I love being violated.

Seems to be anytime anyone damn well decides it is.
I asked a question about a neighbour and Yahoo removed it (don't think it was reported) & gave me a VN for Invasion of Privacy!!!! Not as though I even gave the right postcode...

when it is very obvious like obscene avatars, extreme cussing, the really bad stuff I will send a report.

Petty stuff like people will ask do you smell my new perfume even though it is a gray area for a chatting violation, I leave alone.

The real violations are:Racist questions, offending ones, abusive ones, offending people, using bad language,if the question is no question at all.Using adult language etc.
All can be read in the guidelines BTW.
