For the past half century and more scientists, inspired preachers and the general public have discussed an impending geological catastrophe that will surely devastate large areas of the west coast of the USA, causing (at a conservative estimate) the wholesale destruction of large areas of California, including the submergence beneath the sea of the entire city of Los Angeles.

Given that this terrible event is not a fantasy but an event that is certain to occur (and supporting which is now a mass of evidence from geological and all earth scientists) the only remaining question is when this awful event will occur, one must wonder whether, in view of all these warnings, the population of Los Angeles are mentallly retarded in not having acted on these warnings during the many decades in which this evidence and these warnings have been given.

Is it not crazy, as things now stand ?

People live in California and in many other places at risk of disaster for more reasons than anyone can ever think of. Some disasters are more impending and predictable than others such as the hurricane hotspots in the Caribbean or the Gulf of Mexico, but I don't think that makes them more crazy than the Californians to live there.

If you've ever been to California you'd know that most of them are total fruit cakes anyway, especially the Governor.

If people worried to much about the "What ifs?" in life, we'd never get out of bed in the morning. Live for the day and when the night comes, live that too!

What about the residents of Tokyo? Many major cities are situated in dangerous areas. Mexico city, too. Paris is in imminent danger of collapse, London is slated to be destroyed by high seas, and New York, wow, heaven only knows what may happen there - maybe there is something about the danger that draws people to these places.

"Inspired preachers?"
Hahaha!

If "inspired preachers" and "the general public" are sources that you site to help you make your point, then you probably have none.
