So I've been watching the re-runs and is it just me; or did time stand still for Jen? Through all the seasons, everyone seems to have gotten older, taller... yet Jen still looks as she did fro mthe very first episode? Does the actress have some sort of disease, or something?

I think part of it may also be that Michelle Williams was the closest in age to her actual character while the others were 3+ years older. They may have actively been dressing them and doing their hair and makeup to make them look younger while not feeling that was necessary for Michelle. For example, I believe in the first couple seasons they made James van der Beek shave twice a day because a 15 year old wouldn't generally have visible stubble.

genetics (has to do with the DNA) is the reason for this, like it did with Sally Field and others . They will stay young looking for years. Rachael Welch also. even many older actors play the part of teens for many years on TV and in the movies...
My mom was not old looking till about 70+ everyone always though she was in her 40's or 50's. some still think she's younger than 80! she still does everything by herself, goes dancing, water aerobics , just a little slower. All our family look younger than they really are. It genetics (genes)
