it's not the high school you go to as much as what you do while your there that matters. Just make sure it is accredited, and work hard while you are there.

I think it differs from person to person. The so called "good" high schools aren't for everyone. I know a girl who has moved from the "best" school in town to my high school for a variety of reasons. I attend a small, all-girls catholic school. It suits me, I enjoy it, and I love what I'm learning. However, this school doesn't suit all people. I know a few people who attend large public schools and are thriving, academically and socially.

So, in short, it really depends on what you want, what you like, and what school would suit you, not what school people think is the best.

My advice, take a look at the curriculum for the schools you are looking at. Take a look at what their specialties are (for example, some are pretty sports-orientated, others have good music departments and some are very academic).

In the end, it's up to you. But the main thing is, choose what will suit you. Don't just pick a school because it is "good". And in regards to the question, "will it affect my future?" - I don't think so. As long as you apply yourself you'll be fine :)

In saying that - Good Luck!

Try your best to make it for a good high school, one you like, your parents like, and is overall good. if you make it good for you, if you dont, dont worry and try hard in that school. Some people from the mainstream schools may get a better UAI or job/salary than those in selective schools.

If you attend those 'good' high schools, ie. selective and such, you learn harder stuff.

there are bad schools but there are good teachers in most average schools. work harder next year and work with teachers and councellors to make sure that you dont get lost in the crowd
