Everone will probally think i am stupid, but the word Lol keeps appearing and am not sure what it means.

It's a short-cut (or acronym?) for "Laughs out loud". It means that the writer is laughing so much because something is funny.

Don't worry I was like that too when I was a novice in this chatting or Yahoo Answers. My cousin, who's a computer geek, taught me the answer.

here are the most common abbriviations that you can see online (maily from me, because i use them a lot)
LOL= Laugh Out Loud
ROFL (version of lol) = Roll on The Floor Laughing
LMAO= Laughing my arese off.
