Huge.

The Gallipoli cmpaign was an utter disaster, but it was the first time that the ANZAC forces had been used in such concentration.

Although British losses at Gallipoli were higher than ANZAC losses, it was the birth of the ANZAC legend.

The young men that fought and died on those shores defined our nation and they became part of us and in doing so the Legend of the Anzacs was born.Lest we Forget.
