Well, maybe you should explain her your situation and make it clear to her, that if she won't let you speak out or if she doesn't listen to you once you will quit this so-called friendship. But sometimes there can be situations in people's lifes, where they might not even realize that they don't really listen to you or repeat their problems on a daily base. My best friend, for example, got dumped by her long-term-boyfriend about 5 months ago. Whenever we meet it is always the same since then: she just can't stop talking about him and their problems and sometimes it really annoys me. But in a moment of silence I made it clear to her that there is much more to life than this and that others may experience the same problems or even worse and she should stop whining about it and start living for once. She actually listened to me, agreed and since then, it has made my life and hers a lot easier. She still is my best friend though. Friendship is almost like a partnership - with ups and downs - but in hard times you find your true friends.

She can still be a friend but you have to tell her (in the most kindest way possible) that not everyone wants to listen to her life story. I know exactly how you feel, my mate complains all the time I have better skin than her and hair and all that and I told her and she was so mad at first but she got over it. or if you really want you could just sit there and nod and not really listen if she takes offense to that screw her.

From the way you described it, it seems that she maybe using you to not feel bored or lonely. You can't call a person a friend when she doesn't want to listen to you. OF course, there are good and bad times that she may have, but i think patiently quietly listening is the first thing a friend must have. If she's not willing to contribute to your friendship, then no need to force yourself to listen to her. If she gives respesct, give her back, but if she doesn't, then it's not necessary.

Yes and she considers you as one this is the reason why she kept on indulging on her own issues. Maybe she just needed someone who will listen to her. Why don't you try to teach her how to listen too? And try to assure her that you're there and try to help her settle her problems so that she can no longer get in to that anymore.

Yeah Dont call her... you have your guy or woman strategies and for her to place issues on your head like unbelievable out or telling you later and not showing up, thats her sport, permit her play it. For she is extreme then she will call you and not play video games like waiting for you to call her.. Its a administration element.. merely be cool and be your self, you arent interior the incorrect approximately something in any respect.

sounds like she's totally self-absorbed. we all meet people like this sometimes. i guess you can tell her off and let her know how you feel. if she continues to indulge in self-talk, i think you need another friend. if she's a good friend, she would spare a thought for you.

The very definition of "friend" includes the word "supporter". It doesn't sound like she's giving much in return. :)
