im in high school and ive been noticing that casual chats with my friends (facebook, msn, aim) i use lol way to much and some people are starting to use it as periods. i tried to stop staying it and then i began stay rofl alot and then hehe after that, its just kinda weird. has any1 else been noticing this? i kinda wonder y

Something similar happened to me with the 3 dots. every line has to end with 3 dots...

With text, it's impossible to know whether or not someone is being funny without a hint, since you can't hear the inflection in their voice. Try this one, instead of the acronyms: ;) Everyone knows that when you wink after you say something, you aren't being serious.

It is actually quite clever to abreviate or substitute words.
Some of us oldies have trouble keeping up.
What's up with young people talking at such a rate that it's a miracle that their contempories can understand,Has anyone noticed that.
We should be careful that we don't lose our real english language.

nooo lol basically means lots of laughs, however can also be lost of love, try using LMAO wich means Laughing my A$$ OFF or ROTFLMAO wich means Rolling on the floor laughing my a$$ off
