Can anyoen set me straight on this story?

Question

In Library, we watched a video teling a story. It was about a man, and he owned a publishing place. One day, a man walked into the publishing place and showed he man some pictures. He said he had the storys back at his house. The publisher loved the pictures and told the man to bring the storys by the next day. They decided on a time (I don't remember what the time was) and
the man left. The next day at the time the man was to come back, he never came. A few days passed. So the publisher went to the man's house. When he fianlly got inside (I don't know how) He found the pictures on a counter (I think)
He searched the house. The storys were not in there. He never came back. No one knows what happend to the man or why he never came back. One thing that still gets to be was: Te storys he wrote, were mysteries. and horrers.


If anyone can help me with that story, I don't remember it very well, That would be very helpful. Thank you.

You are wrong but I was too a bit. I found out about the story but, he left the pictures with the publisher and the publisher never tried to find him!

I remember his name was Harris Burdek.

sounds interesting, like it may have been on mysteries from beyond the other dominion or that urban legend show with genie francis husband...can't remember his name.... alot of stories reside in truth, but differentiate a bit here and there, by the act of re-telling over and over again... can you do a search under urban legends?

it sounds fake, how did the publisher know where to go? why would a busy publisher not just call then give up? to many gaps in the story......
