Yes, updation is a word that is often used since quite some time, even though it may not be listed in many dictionaries. It is a noun, variation of 'update' which is in itself a noun and verb. It is better to use the word 'update' or updating' instead of updation, but I am sure that it is just a matter of time before this word gets accepted as a standard English word.
