The pill can do that, sometimes you can even miss a period. It is perfectly normal.
Also if you miss a pill, you can also delay yourself.
However if you are missing period after period then I would suggest in seeing a doctor, it may mean that the pill may not be right or you.
I was on the pill for 8 years, and with my experience, I had became more regular when I was deciding to come off of it.
Don't worry it is perfectly normal, and remember that when you are on the pill, it is not a 'proper' period. Reason, the pill stops releasing an egg every month.

Well I don't really know if you're new to taking the pill or what, but after you stop taking your active pills it can take a few days for your period to actually happen. If you don't get it by the next pack, I'd call your doctor. And thanks for this question, you just reminded me to take mine ;)
