My sisters son was on Lactose free milk for a long time....when his teeth appeared a couple were black the dentist said that the milk was very bad, long term, for young teeth. Nobody told my sister about this and she had to watch her young son go into theatre to have, originally 2 but they saw more were on the way out so he had 4 teeth removed.
Ask a Doctor or health visitor for advice!

if the baby needs lactose free then give lactose free it's not harmful
if the baby is not intolerant then there's no reason to spend the extra money on the lactose free

My baby was on soy formula for the first year of his life. His little tummy just couldn't handle lactose. He is extremely healthy and happy because his tummy doesn't hurt anymore.
