How many people would you let die to save your loved one?
What if it was your whole family?

My family is disgusting. I would save strangers before I save them.

Depending on who that family member is (my mom, dad, step mom, 2 brothers, sister, grandparents on mom's side) and assuming I don't know ANYTHING about the strangers, I would sacrifice 10 for a family member. Any other family member I would say 5.
I know it's a bit shocking that I could actually choose who would die, but it comes down to me being selfish. I don't know these strangers, they could be rapists or saints. I would have to stick with what I do know: I love my family and I am extremely fortunate that they love me.
If it was my whole family, then I would sacrifice 50 strangers. I am sentimental enough to not want my entirely family line wiped out.
In the end, I hope I never have to make either of these choices.

First I'd save the children, ALL of them, relatives or not; then, the rest, according to the situation. I love my family but I'd still try to save some strangers too if I could.

Knowing how bad some of my relatives are, it'll be 5.
