i have a nextel ic502 that i bought from let's talk. anyway the first day i got it, i placed a call. all of a sudden i dont hear the other person. i thought the call dropped but i then realized that the screen said i had a headset connected which i never did. i have been having this problem ever since. even when im not using it. all of a sudden it will state in the screen that a headset is connected and them minutes later that it states that it has been disconnected. it ruins my calls. my phone is weird, because the only time i dont have this problem is when the charger is on. does anybody have some helpful info they can provide me with as to why this happens. thanks

I think the socket for the headset is disturbed just get reapairec or it may be the fault of any software so get your cellphone's software updated in any of the authorised service centre.

These mobiles are funny devices. In your case, there might be some pin which has got short with the pin sending the connectivity signal of the headset to mobile processor. Take it to the repair shop and ask the gentleman there to clean your mobile.
If this doesn't help then you may ask him to reinstall the software for the mobile.Which is a crude way of doing.

But you didn't mention when you insert the headset what happens?
