I know it is broken english.
But in asian, normaly called like that.

many people call the remote controller just controller or tv remote or tv controller we also call air conditioning aircon----it is soooo much easier to say :D

I'm always up for simplifying the language we use every day. That sounds like a good idea to me.
Asian languages seem to be a lot more concise and to the point. I'm led to believe that in Japan, a person's language skill is mainly judged by how few words they can use to get across their idea. I like that.
