just do
500*75/100

let the money for which u want to find out 75%= Y
then the equation would be
75*Y/100 ----------- equation 1
=> 3*Y/4

If u want equation for any other percentage just replace 75 frm equation 1 to that required amount
For eg:- 30 % of 500
then the equation wud be
30*500/100

75% means that you take $75 out of each $100.

Since $500 = 5 x $100 (there are 5 sets of $100)

Remember that for each set of $100, you get $75.

So for 5 sets, you have

5 x $75 = $375

The standard way of doing it though is,

75% of $500 = (75/100) x $500

which gives (3/4) x $500 = $375

75% of a number is 3/4th of that number. So, just multiply any number desired by 3/4th. In this case,

500 X 3/4 = 1500/4 = 375 dollars

find the amount when the base and percent are known.

convert 75% to decimal.

remove the % sign. divide 75 by 100

75 / 100 = 0.75

multiply 500 by the decimal

500 x 0.74 = 375

The amount is 375

$ 375 is 75% of $ 500
