Yes, I have.
I had a diamond in the rough once. I loved him very much, but I became infatuated with what turned out to be a cheap piece of glass, and I let him go for the other guy. Naturally, after a while, I realized I had traded a treasure for a piece of trash, but by then it was far too late.
I am married now to a wonderful man, and I wouldn't trade my life for anything, but I do still wonder what would have happened if I had realized what a treasure I had before I so foolishly tossed him away for a guy who looked and talked good but who was crap...

No because I was the one that was dumped by someone that I had fairly strong feelings for (I don't think it was love) and there wasn't anything that I could do to change the situation. A few months later I met the person I am soon to marry and have never looked back since.
