I have a friend from a small town a little south of Chicago and she tells me she NEVER heard of sauerkraut on a hot dog until she moved here, NJ.

I never heard ketchup called tomato sauce. Even more intesting.

Most of the time just brown mustard and onions.
If sauerkraut is available I put that on too.
My favorite is chili and cole slaw. Sounds strange but it has a sweet/spicy taste that's hard to describe.

Sauerkraut is great ... if you can get it. Where I live they often have onion, bacon and cheese, with tomato sauce (what you would call ketchup) and mustard.

usually onion mustard and ketchup and the sausage is nice and juicey and it can just snap when u bite it then its tender at the same time and.........oh crap im jst gettn carried away now........im hungry im gonna make one right now because iv bn wondering wot 2 hav 4 dinner.

i dont think ive had sauerkraut on mine but i know i would like it usually i have ketchup musterd relish and onions
