I am just interested to see if any americans heard the old BeeGee's. They kinda were like the Beatles but added more darkness and r&b.

Yes, I remember. They were quite good. It's ironic how there biggest selling work ended up getting them pigeon-holed.

Yes. While they had huge success in the Disco era, I always loved their earlier music better. Songs like How Do You Mend a Broken Heart, New York Mining Disaster 1941, Words, I've Gotta Get a Message To You, and Massachusetts are some of my favorites by the Brothers Gibb.

Yes, they were actually discovered and subsequently produced by The Beatles on the Apple label. They were great. Just for an additional peice of useless trivia so was James Taylor. THe more you look into the Bee Gees the more respect you will gain for them. They were very prolific songwriters and gave away alot of songs to other artists who had success with them.

Oh yeah, they play things like "I started a Joke" and "Massachussets" on oldies radio. Can't beat "Staying Alive" though.
