for one thing, life is a one-way road. what has passed remains in the past and you can't change that no matter what you do.

life is a wonderful gift given for a genuine purpose. it can only be truly appreciated if it is made worthwhile. every moment has it's worth that's why it shouldn't be wasted. we are called to strive to be the best person we can be in the effort of making the most out of life. since this chance only comes once, wouldn't it really feel good if you know you have taken it and turned it into something great? we are called to reach for our full potential as a way of attaining satisfaction and appreciation. besides, becoming the best one can possibly be is the closest to ideal that one could get. [being that no one is perfect, there's room for improvement]

i believe that our purpose in life is to strive to be the best person you can be. it would be a waste of a life to NOT do so. to live life to the fullest possible and to take all the chances that are thrown at you is a good way to spend you life. this way, when you're dead, you could reflect back on your life and be happy about how you lived it.
