3 Islamic Indonesian terrorists behead 3 Christian schoolgirls, and not a peep. Women in Muslim are gang-raped for perceived crimes their male cousins commit. Girls are horribly mutilated to protect their male relatives 'honour', sewn up &cut open on their wedding night (1/3 die from blood loss, pain & infection). The Syrian govt surrounds villages in it's own country & tests it's chemical weapons out on it's citizens. Millions in Sierra Leone and Sudan are murdered in a year. Countless govts are murdering or sanctioning the murder of countless people, &committing ethinic cleansing on massive scales. Women are stoned to death for being raped (which apparently usually takes at least 4 hrs as they use sml stones to stretch it out). Leaders of Arab & African countries steal the wealth whilst their people starve. Communist countries stockpile nuclear weapons & threaten their neighbours. I could go on and on. & NOT A PEEP OUT OF THE HIPPIES! WHY?!They don't really care, that's why!

you forgot that slavery is still legal in most Muslim states.

"why?" you ask? because the people leading these protests don't really care about the war or the events in other countries, they just want to see America fail and fall, not realizing that if it falls so do they. they will not be free, they will not be able to do what ever they want, it will become an oppressive and damned country.

ANSWER is a communist group that sponsors the idea of destroying Israel but claims that they want to eliminate racism.

their followers dress like terrorists, wave flags from countries that are sanctuaries for terrorists and spew nothing but anti-Semitic bile....

it is sad, it is disgusting. I don't know why people take them seriously.

What good would protesting in America do to fix other country's problems? If our government was the one doing these things, you could be sure there would be protestors.

Let me give you an anology so you can understand. If you're landlord was doing something you opposed you would ***** and moan to fellow residents about it and see if you could stop it from happening. If somebody else's landlord did the same thing to another person on the other side of town, chances are, you are less likely to do anything about it.

For your information though, feminist groups did in fact protest the Taliban on the streets of Houstin even before 911. It is left-wing activist groups that have brought attention to Darfur. Just some months back, it was DEMOCRATIC congressmen who got arrested at

Here's the story from Fox News.

Amnestry International is labeled left-wing by conservatives and they are always complaining about human rights abuses in all countries.

You are incorrect. While our government was supporting what was to become the Taliban in it's fight against the Russians, I was speaking up against the way these fundamentalist's treated women. I have also been very aware FGM for a long time, and have written to several of my representatives about it, in hopes that they will raise awareness for international condemnation of these practices. I believe there are many liberals speaking out about the atrocities in Sudan and Sierra Leone. I know about the stonings- women are stoned to death for taking their hi-jab off too. Not to mention what has been going on in India with dowry deaths and women having acid thrown in their faces for refusing to marry a certain man. Or the international child sex trade. Have you ever heard of Amnesty International? I have heard many people call them lefty's and they fight against all of the issues you are speaking of. If you are referring to what the democratic politicians are doing about it, mostly nothing, just like politicians on both sides. To say that liberals don't see these things or care about them, and somehow imply that republicans are the ones out there saving the world from all of these atrocities, could not be more far from the truth. This is not about partisanship- it is about humanity- and there needs to be more people of every political persuasion speaking out about these things.

I think that anything that happens like this is horrible. "Not a peep", where??? How many hippies have you spoken to today??? I care. I am for equal rights and civil liberties EVERYWHERE, however, I'm not for the same racist BS that makes Americans hate all Muslims and justify war because of it. There are horrible things going on all over the world and I'm glad that you took notice to it, but what are you going to do to stop it??? Just sit on Yahoo Answers making fun of liberals? What does that make you?

Your question though somewhat lengthy is pertinent & troubling. Many who scream about our "alleged" attrocities might claim what they do is their business, or some other avoidance styled response.

It seems that an alarming number of Americans take all the rights & freedoms we have for granted & have no realistic perception of what some folks in other parts of the world would do to take those gifts away from us.

The majority of the "attrocities" at Abu Graib were , in actuality little more than humiliations endured by the prisoners.

It has become "fashionable" to hate Bush & claim to support our troops...sadly that support will be virtually non existant when the war ends. Most Americans don't seem to realize men & women in the service die in peacetime too, but aside from friens & family, who notices? Who demands better pay for them?

Our priorities are distorted & every individual has responsibility for finding the solution. It's easy to sit here & bash Bush......or Clinton......or (who's next?) But finding solutions requires work , commitment , & sacrifice .

Hmmmm, sacrificing something for your country...what a concept!!

The liberals do speak out against this. otherwise you wouldn't even know.
These are happening in other countries and can only be addressed by the US government, that is not addressing any of this. You should write President Bush and ask him why, he is the one who has the power to end these hateful acts. Ask him why he does nothing about it!

Its an all out war & yes people get tortured; even little school girls. Its just that other countries dont have any respect for peoples "human rights".

Don't be silly, there are complaints about this all the time in liberal publications like The Nation and by liberal organizations like Amnesty International. You just don't bother to read them or have any idea what they do, so you have no idea what is going on.
