Say I like this girl. But when we hang out in groups, one of my BEST friends is always talking to her. At first it's fine....but after a while I'm thinking " you're supposed to be helping me out but you're actually making it harder." and i actually bring it up a couple times. However, we hang out again and he does it again. We get into an argument and don't talk for several weeks. So I'm trying to patch up the friendship. But then later I find out this friend has been hanging out with the girl a few times. I think this is odd since they were barely friends and also that I wasn't aware that they hung out or talked at all........and its also odd he never invited me along.

So when I ask this friend about it, he doesnt think he did anything wrong and its no big deal. I think that he likes her and is basically trying to hang out with her behind my back and also keep our friendship.

Do you think the friend likes her, and if so , what would you do?

He is not your friend, and I would not trust him at all. Friends don't "dis" each other, openly challenge each other, disregard each others feelings, or make plays on the others girl. He really doesn't think he did wrong - but then he doesn't think - about anyone but himself! The girl is not telling him NO either, so she is just as guilty as he is... get away from both of them - they stink.

Well, you are going to have to decide if this girl is worth your friendship. Obviously your friend values the girl over you or he would not be going behind you back to see her. If you still want to be friends, give up the girl. If you want the girl, the friend has to go.

She is not yours until SHE claims you. All is fair in love and war! Be happy for him and keep looking.
