This is really unfortunate - 'cos it is an 11 yr old, suffering at a formative stage of his/her life for no fault of theirs. I would suggest the following:
1. Make a written complaint to the principal.
2. If nothing happens (in 7 days) send another written complaint.
3. Go the education board and give them a written letter with copies of 1 & 2 (above) attached.
4. Go to the media.
Unfortunately there is little you can PROVE against the teacher or principal - but you should let your kids know not to take this **** from anyone. Give them the confidence that there is light at the end of the tunnel. THIS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. The kids must not feel hopeless - poor things - at this age. And they will also learn to stand up for themselves.
I know how difficult it must be for you esp. since you work and are out for most of the day. But you must fight - dont be meek and timid. This will also teach your kids to be bold and brave.
I am a man - and I would have just gone and given the teacher a kick in the *** ..... but you know men ..... that could either solve the problem - or make it worse. Be strong. Let your kids feel your strength. Soon other kids will also appreciate them for it. All the best. I realy hope you sort this out. Do let me know what heppens. Cheers !!!

First of all try and get the school changed for yr kid.
Secondly, to bring this serious problem to the notice of the public, contact some NGO who voices these problelms either in the newspapers and/or on the TV channels.
This shd open the eyes of the school authorities.
NB... Do chk with yr child first too as she too might be at fault for angering the teacher to that extent'; cause if u dont , then this prob might continue even in the next/other school that she may join.

this is a serious problem...your child needs to be removed from this classroom ,if not this school ...as soon as possible....forget going to the principal and take this to your board of education..explain to the superintendent what has happened and that you want your child to be remove from this persons class and if there is no changes made in the next couple of days.. that you are considering bringing a lawsuit and charges against this teacher and the school over the treatment of your child ...and that you expect that this treatment and behavior toward your child to end...tell them they can either take care of it or you and the law will......this will get a response....but once she is moved you will have to watch that she does not get a buddy of this teacher or it could go bad for her again....
personally ,if this was my child and a teacher had struck them..I would not think twice about pressing charges against this person....
even if your child does not want to bring any more attention to this matter ....this treatment might just end up following her all through this school.....you really do need to do something....if ignored ,it could even get worse....and your child will suffer more for it.......
sorry for your plight...I wish the best to you and your child....

Teachers are supposed to be pupils' best friend and not their source of terror. Instead of requesting her not to beat your child, the first approach would be to ask the reason for inflicting such punishment. Try to find out from your child's friend also what really happened. Then you can solve it with the teacher and guide your child also accordingly.

I agree with the previous person. Go to the press... make their lives hell and you'll find that the principal will be a lot less protective of the teacher when district administration is coming down on him for the negative publicity.

Best thing to do is revolt on weekends prepare pickit signs and create a hungama scene. If this doesn't work, next time you meet the teacher take a wooden stick in hand and give her a good whip, if she complains, deny it as she had done.
P.S. make sure no one is watching.

Dr. Phil's son travels to schools to advocate bully awareness. Students are encouraged to bond together and anonymously pinpoint bullies to have their behavior confronted. Unfortunately adults aren't exempt from this behavior and shouldn't be exempt from this intervention. This teacher should be made aware of how her indignation affects these kids long term . I'm sorry I don't know his name, it shouldn't be hard to find. good luck

i am so sorry. i think the best option is to transfer school. i think it is useless to complain if the principal is such a jerk.
i think by changing your kids studying environment is both benificial to your kid and yourself.
your kid is still young, she would definetely find better friends and teachers

Where you live at? You need to beat that teacher, she had no right to do that. If it was my child, I'd be in prison.
