I know there are allegories in literature and in art (like paintings and sculptures) but I can't think of any that are in music.....any help?

It's funny that you ask this question at this moment because at this moment I am listening to a song called "Scythian Empires" by Andrew Bird from his new album. I would interpret it as an allegory for America's follies in the middle east. A lot of his music, I think, can be seen as allegorical for the state of the world and America. Andrew Bird is a bit of an anomaly in contemporary music and he is certainly not all that popular, but his existence indicates that there certainly are people who incorporate allegory into their songwriting. Andrew Bird, I am sure, is just one example.
