There is no time limit and don't let anyone tell you differently. I'm sorry you're dealing with the hurt and understand how you feel. What I did was do anything and everything to keep myself busy. I hope all works out for you. :)

I am in a same situation as you. I had a three year relationship with a guy that I truely loved but broke my heart when he said that he was unhappy and didn't love me anymore. It depends on a number of things like how did you guys break-up? If you were dumped then it could take a long time, especially if you don't understand how and why it happened, if you dumped him then at least you have your reasons and stick to them.
Also how willing you are to be happy again. Realising that you don't NEED him to be happy and to live, you can be just as happy without him or anyone, which will lead you to become a confident independent woman.
For me it's been three months ever since my break up, I still think about him everyday, its hard to suddenly forget someone, they have been in your life for three years, possibly longer. But as the days go by you think of the relationship differently, you think it as an experience or a lesson in life rather than still questioning about it.

It's going to depend on you. But I was in a two year relationship and we were very close as friends as well. It took nearly 5 years to really get over it, and stop thinking about him on a regular basis. But we also went from seeing eachother every day, to not seeing eachother at all.
I wish you good luck, because it is really difficult.

it only take 1 hour, others 1 minute,bottomline there are many things you take for granted and your focus to this relationship blind you, go out and do what you desire for your self, example watch movies, buy things you really want,if your still looking for relationship there are millions( ) out there just waiting for your connections, .........be happy, and live with your life, and not your past.
