if i remember correctly,

there are 2 types of hair- medullated and unmedullated.

medullated hair is hair such as the hair on our heads and facial hair for males, which can continue growing throughout our lives. they are characterised by having being thick and having alot of melanin pigment.

unmedullated hair includes the fuzz that grows all over our bodies, eyebrows, underarms) and and they have less melanin. they also tend to stop growing once they reach a certain length. this length is dependent on they area in which the hair is found. (e.g eyebrows never grow as long as men's underarm hair).

haha i do hope i remembered this correctly.

It doesn't. Hair follicles on your body go dormant for a short period and hair falls out. The length of the active period varies on what part of your body. So pubic hair gets longer than arm hair, but they grown constantly, then fall out. head hair almost never falls out and can go forever.

not everyone is like that. some can't grow long hair because it just don't grow long for them even if they don't cut it. but others once they stop cutting it grows very long I know because I'm one of them.
