Need Serious Advice...
Hi, i am 28 yo. male and have been living with blood pressure issues since past 3 years. Often when i am very angry, i tend to gen into a condition during which, i tend to breath heavy and feel my hands/fingers go numb. At times its even tough to control or fold my fingers... However this state doesn't stay for long as i mental fight back within myself to be normal.
Could somebody tell me, is this something serious? And moreover, i wonder if there is somebody out there who's been out of similar conditions...

You described some physical symptoms, but you didn't give us an example of your blood pressure readings.
It sounds to me like you get yourself quite worked up. Perhaps the symptoms you described are due to being tensed up, moreso than blood pressure.
The best answer I can give you is to have a doctor check your blood pressure in a relaxed state ( which is when you are supposed to check it. ) and see how it is. And if it's elevated or high, then he/she will prescribe the proper medication to control it.
Also, if you tend to allow your anger to work youself up into such a frenzy, perhaps you need to ask your doctor for some advice on how to control that also.

If you are taking medication to control the high blood pressure, the symptoms might be due to hyperventilation when you are angry/upset. Next time it happens, grab a paper bag/ small plastic bag or even a disposable glove and breathe into the bag, then inhale the same air (seal the bag with your hands around the opening) in a calm manner. Very soon you should feel better. Or simply calm down and breathe as explained in the following the next time it happens: exhale twice through the mouth, then inhale once through the nose... automatically you will breathe abdominally, which is good to counteract hyperventilation.

You're 28 years old. Learn to control your issy fits!!! During these periods of uncontrolled anger, you blood pressure elevates to the point where your circulation is impeded. That is why you feel your fingers and hands go numb. This, by the way, is one sign of a stroke. So, at 28, do you want to have a stroke, or do you want to start working on ways to channel your anger?? It's up to you.

I'm a 28 yo female. I went to give blood a couple of weeks ago and they looked at me and said"your on the brinks of having a stroke, your blood pressure is so high" So they told me that i needed to get to a Dr. right away so I could be put on meds.
I still haven't gone, but I will. You should probably do the same. We are to young.
Good Luck

Try doing yoga or some other type of deep breathing exercise to increase oxygen to the extremities of your body. Discuss these symptoms with your doctor so he can re-evaluate your BP meds. Good luck!

As far as I know that symptoms indicate of hyper blood-pressure. And that seems like the symptoms of stroke as well. Light stroke. Just be careful before it's getting worse. You should go to your doctor for accurate diagnose.

Sounds like a anxiety attack when you get angry. Having said that you should see you doctor just to rule out any other medical condition.
