Yes and absolutely yes. The Neocons just played on the insecurities and fears of the weak minded. The Internet played a huge part in this as well. 21 years in the Navy, and it was going on the whole time I was abroad. America has never been in any danger, and the only danger is coming out of our current budget and deficit. The Republicans have looted and bankrupt America.

Terror as a mode of affecting change can be traced back at least to the 1st century Jewish Zealot sect whose methods of resisting Roman occupation included political assassination, poisoning water supplies, poisoning granaries, and other primitive methods of chemical warfare.
Much as is the case with today's Islamists, those within their religion who vocally opposed the Zealots' methods and objectives quickly found themselves on the wrong end of a sword.

of course there will always be terrorist. they are called politians. ever hear the fear tactics they use in every campaign to try to tell you how so many people will suffer and die if they don't do this or that, or if you don't vote for them instead of the other guy.
terrorism by nature is an act or action used to influence the thoughts, behaviors, and or actions of others through fear. this can be accomplished by physical violence, psychological and or emotional abuse or any combination. basically if I make you afraid to do something or force you and other people to do things out of fear of what I say or do I am a terrorist. tell me that does not sound like the 5 o;clock news every day when they get to the health section and tell you all the ways you will die if you don't change your life to how they say to live it.
makes you stop and say hmmmmm doesn't it.

Yes, and yes.
They used to be called barbarians, Vandals, Huns, pirates, brigands or just plain criminals.
Terrorism is a mindset based on hate. And it will be around as long as there are people who try to use violence to intimidate and control others.

From who's perspective? I've lived in The United States almost four decades. In that time, there has only been two successful terrorist attacks by foreigners on U.S. soil (off the top of my head). Can others remind me? Have there been other attacks, inside the U.S., by foreign nationalists?
We should be able to eliminate attacks by foreign nationalists, I think, almost entirely.

True. So why does that give the U.S. the right to invade and occupy sovereign nations?
I think we should mind our own business and stay right here at home protecting our own boarders.

Terrorists is a vague term. There will likely always be enemies. Nazis, Communists, Moslems, Democrats...

Very true, Joey.
The reality is that we are fighting the Global War on Islamic Terrorism.
No one wants to come right out and say it, though.
