It depends on your genes. What colour are your parents eyes? Your boyfriend's got blue and nothing else in there. Green, however, throws a wrench into the equation.

In my case, I've got green eyes. My dad has blue, mom hazel. My son's dad has blue. My son had a 50% chance of blue, 50% chance green, according to:

He's got gorgeous blue eyes. He still might turn out to have green eyes, though - I remember my eyes being exactly like his. They changed when I was something like 7.

Hope that helps!

(Editing to add: Okay folks, I'm a geneticist and have taught university junior and senior level genetics. Here's the scoop. BROWN is DOMINANT. Blue is recessive. That's the dogma - there are rare, rare, rare examples of exceptions to this rule. The trouble is, green doesn't quite fit into the highschool textbook examples.

The person who posted about boyfriend has blue eyes, she has brown, daughter has green - congrats, you're carrying a green allele. The person who posted about things usually following the dad ... sigh ... no. That's not how genetics works.

Not meaning to sound snippish, just clarifying :) )

They're right, brown is the most dominant eye color but it isn't possible to have a brown eyed baby if the parents are blue and green eyed. I'd say a combination of green and blue.

If all people on your boyfriend's family individuals has blue eyes, then that is probable the baby might have blue to boot. yet in any different case, that is maximum probable brown. you have 2 recessive genes to make your eyes blue. Your boyfriend can the two have 2 dominant genes or dominant and recessive. If that's the 2nd, you've gotten a blue eyed infant. Your boyfriend could be the two: YY (2 dominant genes=brown) Yy (must be blue or brown if the recessive is exceeded)

it really depends on the genetic pool here your parents and his parents play a role here too!! brown eyes are teh dominent eye color and for exz: you have a brwn eye dad , you have a blue eye mom, the brwn eyes is the dominet gene there for the baby will have brown eyes, but in your case it will proby be green due to green being a stronger gene over the blue gene, im not for sure though i havn't delt with biology in awhile lol, but i do know my brother n his wife just had there 1st baby and she has greenish/grey eyes and my brother has brwn eyes and theire baby had deep blue eyes and auburn hair so the baby ended up with it grandmas eyes so really it just all depends on the genes the baby gets and the law of probablity also is a major part too, but every baby has blue eyes for the 1st six months of its life so....you will just have to wait and see!!! good luck!!! every ones eyes are beatiful and theres no better color ove another its just people have colors they like better!! hope this helps!!

if i had to guess i would say green, but thats just because my sister in law had blue eyes and her boyfriend had green and her daughters eyes are now green. but my husband has hazel eyes and mine are blue, and our daughter has blue, so i dont know if blue is the most dominent or what. either way green or blue they will both be pretty :)

green is more dominate. but i do believe these genes are both ressesive. meaning the baby could have a different color than either one of you. for example i have blue eyes my hubby has brown but my daughter has green. you just never know. you have to look at the families genetics on both sides

Your baby is more likely to have blue eyes. Two blue eyed people, and green is a variation of blue, cannot have a brown eyed baby.

i think blue would be more dominant because more people have blue eyes than green, but go back, what color eyes do all the grand parents have? i have brown eyes which are getting greener as i age, my husband had blue eyes, his mom and my mom had brown eyes and his dad and my dad had blue eyes. what color eyes would my daughter have? well the dominant color there would be brown, but the recessive gene jumped out and her eyes are slate blue just like her dad.
