CANT you find friends on the net? I HEV found many friends here. I'll be your friend.

The first place to look is in the mirror and see the wonderful person you are. We are all lonley at times. It can be very depressing. I know because I am alone too. Sometimes, I even cry because of the pain of lonliness, But, when you are at your lowest, you absolutely MUST nurture yourself. Pretty yourself up; take a bubble bath listening to some nice music and sip on a glass of chilled wine. Look at all the blessings you have and not on what you don't have. Just because other people may be in a relationship does not mean that they are happy. I often look at my married friends and family (which is almost all of them) and I realize just how lucky I am! It's better to be alone than with the wrong person. Please give yourself a hug from me. You need it and so do I!

Keep smiling and reaching out. First you have to meet someone on a friendship level before a caring relationship will form. I get lonely too but the choices are pretty limited around here. I try to volunteer and get my mind off of it. Email some of the girls on Yanswers, I'm sure you can find common interests here. Best of luck to you!!

Although I am not the wisest person in the world, I do know one thing to be true...sometimes you need to re-connect with yourself before you can engage effectively with others in a meaningful way. Try to identify some of your own insecurities that may be preventing you from meeting other people. Confront these issues and try to slowly put yourself out there...the people that are truly worth your time will gravitate back to you and there will be the start of some good friendships...believe me, it works. :) good luck bud
