Then she is a very rude person and as her son, you should forgive her for her ignorance and don't hold it against her. You have no IDEA how bad a day she had and where she is coming from, so let it ride.............and instead of running out and slamming the door, tell her you love her----I guarantee she will get tears in her eyes and hug you.....we all have bad days and unfortunately our children see them too often.......good luck to you

You must have really made her mad. She probably is at her wits end with you and all of her anger came bubbling out of her mouth in the form of "You son of a *****!"
Take it easy on your mom. As a new mom myself, it is really tough. I mean super tough being a parent! We love our children so much and just want what is good for them.

She's telling you that you're adopted or maybe there's a side to your dad you don't really want to know about. My mom is proud to call herself a ***** but she'd never call me son.

My mom says that to my sister all the time and me too. My dad hates it but thats the way she is. I'm sure your mom was just angry and doesn't mean anything by it. But in my mind after my mom says it i say No, i'm the daughter of one. lol jk

I called my dad a S.O.B. one time when I was younger and he threw a hammer and hit me in the back with it. Never called him that again.

the wrong answer is to laugh, which I cant help but do when she yelled that at my brother.... laughing leads to a smack which Is not funny at all. its one of those things that you can laugh about later, even though it hurts that your parent is being mean. I always had to go to my room and giggle...... :)
