i mean, a 1940's version of pacman, what's all that about?

If they were born in the late 40s, they wouldn't have been playing them then anyway.

The first video game was Pong, and it wasn't up until the 60s.

the first video game wasn't introduced to the public until 1958, it was called "Tennis for Two"

Pong came soon after it

it is quite possible your parents enjoyed Pacman, Space Invaders and Asteroids when they were in their 20's and 30's

video games weren't deemed for children back then, everyone was amazed at these new inventions and people of all ages played and enjoyed them

why don't you ask your parents if they went to the arcade when they were dating?

I was born in 1950 and I am sure we didn't have any vidio games. You must be crazy ;)

We did have some hand held games. One was with water and we had a button that sent air current to move a ball to a place that had points. Any sort of hand held games were very primitive.
