Pinky, look, procrastination puts you at the mercy of Chaos Theory. Small mistakes made at the beginning of any project become lethal troubles at the end. Small errors are usually little things that people think they can put off till later. Not so. If you think something is worth doing, it's worth doing right, so a pro knows that the devil is in the details, and the details in the beginning are the ones that will send a project to the bottom . To put a nail in procrastination, remember the embarrassment that comes with failure from failing to do the small stuff, procrastinating. Concentrate on the little chores from the beginning, the weight of the project will soon carry you through if your involved up to your neck.

One way to help yourself is to get someone to be accountable to. That way they can keep on you about things if need be...not always fun, but it's helped me in the past and it' changed my habits a little too (although I do tend to procrastinate some still...lol) :)

make a list of what you wish to do the next day and carry it with you and do them and check them off on the paper when you get thru doing them
read some positive think type books and apply the methods
tell your self that your going to do what you need to do,& what your need to do. right before you go to sleep at night & visualize what you wont done and see it done in your mind & have more Faith in yourself
and keep your room clean as this will help you mentally.

First: Get off Yahoo answers.
Second: Set some goal. Something that has meaning to you.
Third: Reward yourself as soon as you make some progress toward that goal.
Fourth: Don't wait until you "get in the mood" to do something. Just do it.
Fifth: Good is good enough. It doesn't have to be perfect. Don't worry about it.
Good luck!

Find the things that do motivate you and ask yourself why those things motivate you to do something. If friends motivate you, ask for their advice and encouragement. Ultimately, you are the only person who can motivate yourself to do something. If that means forcing yourself away from what distracts you or even bribing yourself, do it. I have a hard time getting motivated myself, and those are some of the things that work for me. Hope that helps :)
