yes but i believe once you hit 20 weeks or it may be a little further along its called a still birth. and if you do have a still birth you have to have a death certificate and burrie/cremate the fetus. hope this isnt happening to you. good luck

I'm in my 2nd trimester also and this is my second pregnancy too. Are you feeling any symptoms that may be increasing or causing your fears? I know lately I have been having what feels like contractions but I've read up and realized it's probably just stretching and movement...and my body getting used to the baby still lol...Do you call you doctor. I definitely intend to tomorrow just to describe my symptoms and see what they say. Better safe than sorry and do all you can to prevent anything from happening...stress less too darlin...

Unfortunately I had a friend that lost hers in her 18th week-I believe it can happen anytime. Another friend went into labor in her 22-23 week and was considered a preemie and is now over 1 year old, though he has quite a few problems. They wouldn't trade him for anything of course. Hope all goes well.

Bless you!! You can miscarry, but it will be called stillborn!! If the baby lives a certain amount of time they normally issue a death certificate. If the baby is already dead when it comes out its just stillborn. Your chances for miscarriage drops drastically in your second trimester also!!

you can have one any time, however its less likely after the first trimester, the body often expells a poorly formed fetus right away. you will be fine.

i don't think you can have a miscarriage by the 20th week. usually it isn't called a miscarriage but the baby can die. 25th week is when they can help keep a baby alive outside of the mothers body.
