They picked the Cincinnati Reds to finish last after they were in the hunt for a divisional title right up to the last weekend of the year.Where are they coming from?

I WISH that their predictions were true. Even though I live only 20 minutes from Anaheim, and go see the Angels, I grew up in LA, and I am a HUGE Dodgers fan.

Their prediction is my DREAM season, with the Dodgers winning in the bottom of the 9th at Chavez Ravine, but I just don't see that happening. Neither team has enough bat OR enough arms.

There are rumors that A-Rod may go to the Angels, and that would make the difference there. However, my beloved Dodgers just aren't strong enough.

Furcal and Pierre are both speedsters, and I believe they are overrated. Kent and Gonzalez WERE studs, but on the downhill now. Martin, Ethier and Betemit are very solid guys, but unseasoned. Plus, it's a pitcher's park.

Speaking of which: Lowe, Wolf, Schmidt, Penny are all re-treads - well traveled veterans who have never maintained an elite presence anywhere.

Would LOVE to see it, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I think the Beckett baseball magazine's picks suck even more. They picked the Red Sox to win the A.L. East and the Dodgers to win the World Series. Can you believe that? Really amusing.

They must pick names out of a hat and go from there. It's the only thing that would make any sense.
