Suppose you're interviewing 4 candidates for the same job position. What they have in common is the same alma mater, same GPA (cumulative and major), and none had internship/co-op experience. Suppose each of them gives you same answers with same attitude, courtesy, and gesture (of course interviewing them at different times where they never even seen each other).

However, here's the only the difference among those 4 candidates:
- candidate #1 is fresh out of undergrad or just got his degree
- candidate #2 is a cop
- candidate #3 is a fireman/paramedic
- candidate #4 is a teacher.

Suppose each of candidate #2-4 had their professions for the same amount of time like a year or two, and they also made significant accomplishments (rescued a celebrity from fire/illness/terrorist, directly/indirectly helped some students get into Ivy Leagues, etc...).

Who would you most likely hire?

Also forgot to mention assume they're same in major(s), minor(s), and bachelor's degree (if you were thinking about saying "it depends on their degree" as part of your answer).

2 or 3 because they have something 1 and 4 don't... the ability to properly assist someone if they are in a medical or violence emergency. So say if someone in the workplace starts choking, 2 or 3 will know exactly what to do to save the life

;) just my opinion. i'd go with 2 because they know how to handle violent situations when they arise (reasoning ability) and they have some of the medical training 3 has like CPR

Flip a coin. Yes, I know it sounds cheesy, but really. Pick two candidates, say 1 and 2. Pick a side for each candidate. You already know which one you like better of the two if when you flip the coin, you're hoping that it lands on a certain side. Then, do the same for the other two candidates. As you're flipping the coin, who do you want to get it? Then, on your third flip, hopefully, you'll be able to know which one is more suited for the position. In the end, you made your decision based on who you liked better.

**You don't really have to go with the candidate of the side it lands on that you didn't want.

either 1 or 3, an undergrad would work harder because he knows not that he has a degree its time for a job and would really be serious about it.

Or three because he has done his time with contributing to the community and making things beter and deserves to try something new

In such a case, go in for their personalities and you'll get to see who will be easier to work with. You could also give it to the person who is more open to learning and who wants it most.
