I would like to know how inaccurate the movie 300 was in choosing the actor for the role of the King.

There is no color in those pictures.

Would they be white or today's Iranian color.

They didn't look anything liked those ringed, clean-shaven freaks.

Here's some pictures. Really, they looked like most Middle Easterner's looked like in those times.

(These carvings are of king Xerxes himself.)

They would be the same darker color as the Iranians today. They weren't white skinned.

Is there such a thing as a non-mainland Persian? There aren't any sizeable islands in that part of the world.

Anyway, there is a lot of still extant artwork from ancient Persia. Try these web sites:

He would have been a white guy with a british Accent ... have not seen the movie, but Hollywood over the years always gets a white guy with a British accent.

i think he would have been darker.You have to take into consideration the climate and everything else.It kills me to see a blond haired,blue eyed picture of Jesus or Cleopatra.
