No one knows how well Matt Schaub really is, they made this trade based on "potential" alone...the Falcons did a great job of getting this guy "hyped" up without alot of actual playing time. He has a QB rating of around 69.0 (not very good) and has thrown 6 INT's to 6 TD's in something like 2-3 career starts - so who really knows what he is capable of...

I will tell you this, whoever gets David Carr is getting a HELL of a QB and i hope he goes to a contender and proves what he's about. It is not his fault that he has played on one of the worst organizations in football since he came to the league, its not his fault that he has statistically had the WORST offensive line in the HISTORY of the game. He has the record for most times sacked in a single season and most times sacked over any 2-3-4-5 year periods combined. He is getting a raw deal but it could be for the better of both Houston and David Carr. Houston could have just needed a change, David Carr def. needs a change and a chance somewhere else b/c he is super talented and what he has done statistically for himself at one of the shittiest QB positions in the league is amazing. I just hope he doesnt end up in Oakland or some shitty position like that. He had the highest completion percentage last season, he also had a top 5 QB rating, and he has started every game in 4 of his 5 seasons as a QB (amazing stat)...he is agile, smart, damn good arm, great accuracy...he has everything a great QB needs except an offensive line, and hopefully he'll end up with that wherever he's headed to. Possibly Miami? Maybe Minnesota? Who knows - but he will succeed wherever he goes.

As far as Schaub, he'll have the same ole story as Carr did if the Houston Texans do not give them help on the offensive line. There isnt a single QB in the world that has ever come through the NFL that was deemed successful without a damn good offensive line. Not one. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Troy Aikman, Steve Young, Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, Dan Marino, John Elway, Bart Starr, and every "great" QB that has ever lived was successful b/c he also had a hell of a line in front of him, and if the Texans are to stupid to realize that then every QB they bring in will ultimately be considered a "failure".

Not sure if he will make Houston better with their pathetic offensive line and anemic runners. However, he made the Falcons a whole lot better I think this was a great deal for the Falcons. If they stay where they are and pick eighth they are guaranteed to get Landry the safety from LSU, whom the Dolphins covet at the ninth pick. Also, they might be able to package picks to move up to the #2 spot and nab Calvin Johnson the hometown boy to become a dynamic weapon for Michael Vick. Great deal for the Falcons in so many ways; in fact, I feel this may go down as one of the all time steals if the Falcons play it right.

No QB, unless he were God Almighty can make an offensive line any better or worse than what they are; but a good O line CAN make a QB better.
Until Houston gets better at O line, ANY QB in the Texans backfield is just a tackling dummy.
David Carr is probably celebrating his departure from there.
How many sacks must a QB endure before playing behind a good O line?
And oh yeah, I forgot.
NO. He won't make the Texans any better.
Too many ifs.

NO Schaub is a downgrade for Houston!! Carr is a good QB but he never got the chance in HOuston. He didnt have an Oline he only had 1 WR/TE to throw to he had no running game.

Carr is more mobile than Schaub, and also how can someone help your team out when there whole NFL career he only played in 2 games and lost both of them 6tds and 6ints! sounds like a BACKUP for LIFE!!!!!!!

You know it all starts up front........than it's up to a good wide-out to cut clean or separate......Houston's problems weren't all Carr's fault......both shaub and ramsey have a big gun....and if you read any of my responses you'll get your answer...still a piece missing

no because they swapped picks and lost 2 second round picks, and dropped down in this years first round just for a backup qb who has had brief moments of great play. But they already had a qb with brief moments of great play, houston will be paying for this trade just like they will pay for years for not drafting bush

On his own? NO. If they expect him to pass from his *** like Carr is supposed to do they won't get any better. They need a O-Line and beyond that they are on the right path. They brought in a decent RB and a good QB. Now how about some people to open the lanes and protect the QB.

Yes, with him and Green (From the Packers), they will bring the team up from where they were last year. I don't know if they will do any better against the Colts but they will improve.

Only if they get 5 competent offensive linemen.
