I have to have some documents turned into DFACS tomorrow, and have to get them notarized, I was just wondering about how much it costs to get something notarized and where to go to do so.

I get things notarized at the title place...I've heard insurance offices do it too.

I guess it depends on where you live as to how much it costs. I see some people have posted 10-15 dollars. Here, it costs me 2 bucks.

Look in the phone book, notary publics advertise. It will cost several dollars, but not very much. I have had my signature notarized several times and I have never spent more tha 10 dollars each time I needed this service. One source not commonly known is a real estate agent. Most real estate offices have a notary on the staff and they will notarize a dicument even though you are not buying a house for a small fee. In my experience, using a notary via a real estate agent was quite cheap, a couple dollars for each session. So, look in the phone book first, and then try real estates agents nearby.

Generally most banks will notarize documents for their customers at no charge.

You can try a library. You can try a law office. You can see if any of your friends are notaries. Some notaries charge, some don't.

$2 a document. No kidding. Most people don't even bother to charge you though. Lawyer, bank, post office. Anyone can be a notary. My pharmacist notarizes.

Most notaries charge between $10 and $20 per signature.

Banks often have notaries. Some courthouses. Law firms.
Also, many self-shipping places (FedEx) or copy shops have notaries. Some supermarket customer service counters.

Look in your local phone book under Notary.

If you know someone who is a notary republic that can do it for you. I looked someone up in the yellow pages and found them and went to there house and they signed, stamped the papers and were pretty reasonable. If you know someone if might be even better for you. Hope this helps.

It costs about $10.00 -$15.00 per document, and is executed by a Notary Public. Most attorney's offices and real estate agents have one, or are one themselves.

Almost every large bank does this. As far as price I think it depends on how many documents you have.
