First off, I start by saying I understand individuality is more important than any sort of generalizations which can be made about a certain culture.

That being said, every country has a personality to it when considered as a whole. Taking this into consideration, does anyone know of any specific cultures which have a general reputation for being more laid back, easy going, and slow-natured, yet more old fashioned and formal? I find myself to be extremely accepting of other people's lifestyles, like to relax a lot in my spare time, and have a very easy-going approach to life, even at work. I live in America, more specifically, Arkansas, and would like to see a place with the same amout of relaxed attitude, but with more love for the arts, and music, like classical and jazz.

Any opinions (cause I know that's all they are), would be appreciated.

I understand this is not a question of definite answers, but I would love

For a foreign country I would also say Italy, but what you describe is also true for Florida, where I live.

I'd have to say Denmark was the most laid back country I've ever been to. maybe a little too laid back. you should visit the UK. i think you might find what you're looking for there.
