The Archie's from the 60's and 70's were portrayed as one and was a genius as well as successful idea. If there aren't any out there, then there should be, especially in this day of computer animations.

the other girl is wrong. Gorillaz is an animated band, but they are amazing. they capitvate people of all ages. rarely any bands do. i reccomend them all-out.

The gorillaz are the only animated band I know of right now. Check out their songs 'Dare' and 'Feel Good Inc.'

I'd say the Gorillaz, but I don't think that's what you're looking for. They are an animated band though. You're right, I can't think of any other bands either.

the Beatles had a short lived animated series in the late 60's.
Josie and the Pussycats, Alvin and the Chipmunks.... Strongbad does some solo stuff...

ya the gorillas, they did feel good inc and a couple other pretty good songs and every appearence they do is animated
