I like em all.
But 'Return to Paradise', 'Empty Garden' and 'Skyline Pigeon' are good no matter what mood I'm in.
'....Yellow Brick Road', 'Madman Across the Water' and 'Song for Guy' are the ones I like the most.
Albums?, 'Honky Chateau', 'Captain Fantastic...' and '.....Yellow Brick Road'.
Some of my earliest memories are singing to Elton John. My Dad had the entire collection when it was current. Don't know why but it was Elton & Bernies stuff that I loved even before I knew what I liked.
So today when I list Elton among a long list of likes, people always pick that as an odd one out and say "Elton John?, you must be kidding". But I am well capable of playing them an Elton song that still today would blow them away.
I remember being laughed at about it, so I played them the first 'Troubador' performance. From back in the 70's. Now my mates are fans.

I love Elton John! I can't believe he's going to be 60 WOW!!! I love 2 songs. "Rocket Man" and "Candle in the Wind". I'm a huge Princess Diana fan. Or used to be. I cried when he rewrote that song for her. I think Sir Elton should have a big blast send off. Hats off to you Sir Elton!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a favourite song but I really like all his older stuff. Especially the albums "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" & "Captain Fantastic & The Brown Dirt Cowboy".
I find that his new stuff all sounds very samey & he seems to care more about his image than the music.
