In addition to reducing your debt to half of your limits and reducing the number of revolving accounts (credit cards, personal loans, charge accounts), you should also closely monitor the amount of inquiries to your credit report as possible. Avoid making late payments. You have the abillity to dispute or re-establish any 'blemish' on your report. If you haven't already, get your annual free report (at the website below) and begin investigating your history. And one last thing: call your credit card lenders... request a reduction in your APR. You can also try to negotiate terms with them if you have been making late payments. They may consider giving you a cheaper payment plan. You can also contact collection agencies and negotiate lower payoff amounts. Good luck!

Try to even out your credits but I think they will still show on your history as clean.

make sure you are carrying less than half full balance on each of your cards. also make sure you don't have too many different cards, any more than 5-6 and you could be hurting your rating. Alternatively if you only have 1-2 get more even if you don't plan to use them, just make sure they carry no annual fees.
