I am not 100% sure which is the highest as of this moment, but I can tell you that in 2002 the highest was 3840 x 2400 and that monitor went for only $7999.

Currently, the highest resolution you could probably find on the market is a WQXGA monitor with 2560×1600 resolution. But be prepared to pay at least $1500 for that monitor.

The highest I have found is 1920 x 1200.

at work we have a nice big HDTV for the board room,
the last time i checked the settings on the computer it was connected to it was on 2560 x 1600 but i do remember there is one more up, but this made a green line at the bottom of the screen.
the screen was an LG.
not to sure on anything else though

that would be
