You dont really feel anything. Its a mental feeling you have that there is something with you. It cant really be put into words but you just know. Its usually not the instant like that night its usually when they start thinking about it because of a late period or a know instance. But agian think of all the times women think they are pregnant and takes tests eventually one time they might be.

I am not trying to tick anyone off by saying this, but I am not so sure I buy into that whole knowing your pregnant thing. I think basically what happens is woman have sex when they know they are ovulating and in return convince themselves they are pregnant and happen to end up being right.
I could be wrong though, maybe some woman are that in tune with their bodies, but I think it may be more just coincidence. I remember thinking a few times I must be pregnant because of whatever reason, and I wasn't. Just look at all of the sill I think/am I pregnant questions.
Sorry if I offended anyone, I wasn't trying to.

I think you have to be intune with your body.
With my first pregnancy I "knew" about a week later. I fell pregnant the second time I had sex. I didnt have any "symptoms" or miss my period or anything I just knew something was different with my body and it was because someone was growing inside of me.
With my second I "knew" straight away again.
With my third I hopped out of bed (after sex) and said I"ll get pregnant from this. My Bf didnt believe me. So I went to the Dr, she didnt believe me, so did a pregnancy test it was positive (this was a week after sex). She still couldnt believe it because I had'nt missed a period or had any symptoms so she sent me for an ultrasound a week later. It confirmed I was pregnant right down to the day I said I got pregnant. My Dr was in complete shock. And just couldnt believe someone was so intune with their body that they knew straight away.
With my fourth I "knew" straight away again.

With all of my pregnancies I was never actually actively trying to get pregnant and had no idea about fertile days or when I was ovulating. The few months I did actively try to get pregnant (after losing first baby) it didnt happen.

My Mum always knew when she fell pregnant, she never tried to get pregnant she didnt even want kids!!!

Well... my spin on it is... If you're actively trying to conceive... When you are peeing on the stick... You are always feeling positive it'll be positive... until it's negative. When you want something so badly... you can convince yourself of almost anything. Which is why it's such a let down when you realize you've fooled yourself. And you don't really tell anyone about that. So, the women that are holding a positive result in their hand saying, "I just knew it...!" are usually right.

You know I never got that " Pregnant" feeling. My aunt and my mom both said they knew when they were pregnant, but I didn't. I went to the doctors 2 months later and found out. I just thought my body was acting crazy cause my husband had just come home from Iraq, and I hadn't had sex in 7 months.

Well, I don't know about instant...but my breasts start aching and don't stop about a week before my period should start. I don't think a lot of women are like that though. By the 3rd baby, I could tell pretty quickly.

i am not a woman, but I am a hypochondriac. I have a feeling most of the time these are women who would claim to "feel" pregnant no matter what, and since they likely have done something to give themselves a high chance of pregnancy they happen to guess right most of the time.

for me it was like this- i felt VERY bloated and heavy - like i had been filled with cement. i was also Extremely tired- more so than usual pms. then the mental stuff- even though i was tired, i had a very distinct restlessness of the mind- couldn't put my finger on it- but i knew something was different. some of the older haitian nurses i worked with asked me if i was pregnant before i peed on the stick!! i don't know if it was a special sense they had, or if something on my face had changed or what. it was freaky.

when i got pregnant it seemed like i was more aware of others who were pregnant. i always see it on t.v. and i just found out my sister in law are only a few weeks away in our pregnancy. she is like 9 weeks pregnant and i'm 11 weeks so that is sort of neat. not only that but i started noticing the symptoms but i was really thinking about it when i was late with my period. i took two pregnancy tests they were both positive.
