Well, when I was a girl we played "Bloody Mary" basically you take a candle in the bathroom and say "Bloody Mary" several times, and blow it out, when you look into the mirror you're supposed to see her face. No magic I swear.

As for scary stories...

Here's a classic (revamped for modern times).

A young couple, Tom and Lisa, were driving home after the school dance. It was late, and Lisa lived in the country. It was peaceful night, but dark, since there was no moon, or street lights in the country. They had their iPod plugged into the radio listening to their favorite playlist, when they suddenly heard a loud popping noise. The car started to swerve a bit, so Tom pulled to the side of the road. "We must have run over something, stay in the car and I'll check it out." Lisa agreed, afterall she was dressed up, and didn't want to ruin her new wedge shoes. "Something poked a hole in a the front tires. Does your phone have any reception? Mine died during the dance and I don't have a car charger." Lisa checked her phone, "No, I don't get any service until I'm closer to the house." They waited in hopes for a car to come past, but after 30 minutes Tom got restless. "We passed a gas station a mile back or so, I know it has a payphone. I'll go and call our parents to come get us, they must be worried. You stay here, I won't be long." Tom shut off the engine "After I leave, lock the doors and don't open them for anyone but me." "But Tom, its so dark, how will I know its you?" He thought for a moment, "I'll knock three times, don't worry I won't take long." Tom gave her a smile and set off for the gas station. Lisa shivered, she didn't like being left by herself, but her feet still ached from the dance. She snuggled into to Tom's coat, and dozed off. She awoke with a start, *THUMP thump THUMP thump THUMP* "Tom is that you?" *THUMP THUMP thump THUMP thump* the knocking contiuned but no answer. Suddenly she realized that it was much later than she realized, the wind was blowing hard, whistiling in the trees around her. *THUMP thump THUMP thump* the knocking was rythmic. "It can't be Tom, he said only three times" Lisa began to get scared, Tom should have returned by now. *THUMP thump THUMP thump* "What if he fell and hurt himself? Or got hit by a car?" Suddenly a light flashes on the car "This is the Marshall County Sheriff, is there anyone in the car?" *THUMP thump THUMP thump* the knocking contiunes, Lisa notices the flashing light and peaks out of the window. She sees the sheriff's car, and then slowly opens the door. "Come towards us but do not look behind you." Lisa walks wobbly towards the police car, her legs having fallen asleep from the being cramped in the car for hours. "My boyfriend Tom is missing, he went for help but hasn't returned is he with you?" Lisa asked the Sheriff. "Just keep moving miss, and don't look back at the car." Lisa was annoyed, "Look our car hit something..." she pointed back to the car, and screamed. Illuminated by the headlights on the Sheriff's car was Tom's lifeless body hanging from a tree. His feet were swaying with the wind, and hitting the car, *THUMP thump THUMP thump*.

amityville horror - true story (just if you never heard of this)

There once was a family who lived in a house and one day the son, Charlie, got possessed by a demon and shot everyone in his family.
10 years later another family(1 step dad, a mother, a son, and a girl) moved in. The daughter started seeing a ghost of one of a girl who got shot by charlie(her brother). The ghost led the girl to the roof of the house. When her dad saw that she was on the roof, he was very terrified. The girl fell and luckily the dad caught her. Somehow the dad started getting meaner every single day. This is because his body was being slowly possessed by the same thing that possessed charlie. The next day the ghost led the girl near the boat at the dock. The same day, the dad started getting angrier and angrier and locked his son into a room as punishment for talking back to him. The mom was wondering why he was acting this way.
The next night, there was a terrible storm. The dad got more angrier and later pulled out a rifle. The mom told the kids to run. The dad was chasing after them. The girl told them they should come up on the roof and she knew exactly where to go. The dad followed them up, then the son knocked the dad down to the ground with his foot. When the dad was unconscious, the girl told them to put him in the boat. Later they drove the boat as far away from the house. When the dad woke up, he was back to himself. They never came back to the house and they never picked up their stuff.
-the end

Theres a story that acctually happened to me.
I woke up (or at least I thought I did) and I saw a man standing by my bedroom window and a box on my bed.
I opened the box and it was a jigsaw so I did the jigsaw and it was of my bedroom BUT my severed head was hanging from the window!!!!
and there was the man still at the window!!!
When I finished it I looked up and saw the man looking down at me with a knife in his hand.
Then I really did wake up and on my bed was a plain box the same one I had seen inside in my bedroom in my dream I still don't know where it came from but inside it was a card that said I will love you forever that was in my grandfathers writin (He'd died 5 years previously)
Every time a touch the box now I feel a warm glow and Its so nice to thinks hes still watching over me!

Amityville is WAY to scary for these young girls. Stick with Bloody Mary. Here's one my grandmother used to tell me: An old woman buried her beloved husband in the woods behind her house as he had expired of natural causes. The night after his burial she would mournfully ask aloud, "Who's gonna sleep with me this lonesome, lonesome night?" A voice would reply, "I will!" She kept asking this for 3 or 4 nights in a row and the last night she asked who was gonna sleep with her these lonesome nights, she got ready for bed and climbed on in to sleep. The old lady felt something strange on the mattress next to her and when she turned the lamp back on it was her husband's skeleton. BOO!
