I would give her about 4 oz of water each day. It will not hurt her. She is active and probably teething and drooling like crazy and/or diarrhea. I have read that you shouldnt give a baby more than like 12 oz of water every 12 hours because it can cause water intoxication (too much fluid to where their little kidneys can't filter it). I think 4 oz is just fine though. That is what I did with my daughter at that age. She loves water. If your daughter won't drink it out of a bottle or sippy cup, try out of an adult plastic cup. It will make her feel like a big girl and she will enjoy it. Just make sure a bib is on her. haha Also, you may have to take a few sips to make her want some and also to let her know it is ok to drink it. You can also do what the others suggested and put a little vaseline on her lips. Just do it while she is sleeping. You can also call her pediatrician and see what they suggest. Hope this helps!

Dry lips and skin is a sign of dehydration. Talk to her pediatrician to find out how much water she should be drinking daily. Extra water never hurt no one. In the meantime, the safest thing to use on her lips is actually Lansinoh breastfeeding ointment. It's what my child's doctor suggested when my infants lips would get dry after breastfeeding. It is natural, so it's safe in case the baby ingests some. Good luck!

Dab a little plain vasoline on lips. Don't use flavored lip balms. They are a conspiracy. Chapped lips>apply flavored lip balm>lick lips>increases dry lips>apply flavored lip balm>lick lips>increases dry lips>apply flavored lip balm, etc. Buy more flavored lip balm............ My teenager once pointed this out to me.

Give her more water. Formula and breast milk don't provide enough water for an active seven month old, especially during the cold season when diarrhea is often draining their reserves.
