especially on TV, it's really makes me annoyed,

Annoying - and harmfull in large doses. Better, though, than the alternative of no advertising and a bunch of dead people.

Isn't the bright side that things like advertising and pollution are signs of life, people trying to improve their situations?

Yes; it is unfortunately part of the irrevocably repulsive Capitalist society in which we live nowadays.
