Is Sanjaya (from American Idol) related to the actor from the Geico Caveman commercials?

I heard that Sanjaya from American Idol is related to the guy who plays the caveman in the Geico commercials? Does anybody know if its true?

it is possibly true. The caveman actor is from the same town as Sanjaya but has a different last name though
